TL;DR: In this paper, the authors aimed to describe ASD prevalence and characteristics among preschool-aged children and found that few population-based data exist on ASD identification among preschool aged children, yet, early identification of children with autism spectrum disorder facilitates timely access to intervention services.

TL;DR: Investigation of comorbid psychiatric disorders and psychotropic medication use among adults with autism spectrum disorder ascertained as children during a 1980’s statewide Utah autism prevalence study found a greater understanding of the presentation of these conditions within this population will increase assessment validity and the potential for efficacious intervention.
