Species boundaries in the Himantura uarnak species complex (Myliobatiformes: Dasyatidae).
Irma S. Arlyza,Kang-Ning Shen,Dedy Duryadi Solihin,Dedi Soedharma,Patrick Berrebi,Philippe Borsa +5 more
TL;DR: One of the clusters was identified as H. undulata and another one, while two cryptic species were uncovered within the recently-described H. leoparda, challenging the current morphology-based taxonomy of species within the H. uarnak species complex.
Journal ArticleDOI
Himantura tutul sp. nov. (Myliobatoidei: Dasyatidae), a new ocellated whipray from the tropical Indo-West Pacific, described from its cytochrome-oxidase I gene sequence
Philippe Borsa,Jean-Dominique Durand,Kang-Ning Shen,Irma S. Arlyza,Dedy Duryadi Solihin,Patrick Berrebi +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the two cryptic species differ by the spotting patterns on the dorsal surface of adults: Cluster-4 individuals tend to have larger-ocellated spots, which also more often have a continuous contour than Cluster-1 individuals.

Comparison of DNA Extraction Methods for Microbial Community Analysis in Indonesian Tempe Employing Amplified Ribosomal Intergenic Spacer Analysis
Cecilia Anna Seumahu,Cecilia Anna Seumahu,Antonius Suwanto,Iman Rusmana,Dedy Duryadi Solihin +4 more
TL;DR: The result showed that PowerFood Microbial DNA Isolation Kit-MOBIO (PFMDIK) is an excellent method for microbial DNA extraction from tempe and gave high quantity and quality of DNA suitable for PCR amplification of 16S-23S rRNA intergenic spacer to yield a diverse and reproducible ARISA profile.
Journal ArticleDOI
A novel semi-multiplex PCR assay for identification of tropical eels of genus Anguilla in Indonesian waters
Melta Rini Fahmi,Dedy Duryadi Solihin,Kadarwan Soewardi,Laurent Pouyaud,Zhaojun Shao,Patrick Berrebi +5 more
TL;DR: A one-step semi-multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is proposed to distinguish seven species and subspecies of tropical eels, i.e., Anguilla celebesensis, A. interioris, A, nebulosa nebulosa, B. bicolor bicolor, A., £1.
