Advanced imaging of nanometer-scale recorded bits on super-resolution near-field optical disk

TL;DR: In this paper, an array of individual 100 nm recorded marks is imaged and studied by using the conductive-atomic force microscopy (C-AFM) method, and the image results are evidence of the high carrier-to-noise ratio (CNR) value on the super-RENS disk, even though the mark size has been shrunk to less than diffraction limit.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reciprocity theorem for nonlocal optics: completion of proof and application to spectroscopic analysis

TL;DR: In this article, the problem of optical reciprocity in the long wavelength limit is considered in terms of the symmetry for the scalar Green's function under the Neumann boundary conditions, for materials with nonlocal and anisotropic dielectric responses.
Journal ArticleDOI

The size effect in the AgOx-type super-resolution near-field structure

TL;DR: In this article, the size effect of super-resolution near field structure (Super-RENS) was studied by using the photoacoustic measurement, and the blue shift of the peak position of absorption spectra was successfully observed as the size of the silver particles or clusters in the AgOx layer is decreased.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Near-field optical characterization of visible multiple quantum well semiconductor lasers

TL;DR: Both collection and excitation modes of scanning near-field optical microscopy (SNOM) were used to study a low power visible multiquantum-well laser diode (LD) as mentioned in this paper.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Nonlinear near-field optical effects of the AgO/sub x/-type super-resolution near-field structure

TL;DR: In this paper, a direct near-field optical images and two-dimensional finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulations of the AgO/sub x/super-RENS were studied.
