Suboptimal Performance of Hepatocellular Carcinoma Prediction Models in Patients with Hepatitis B Virus-Related Cirrhosis
Jae Seung Lee,Tae Seop Lim,Hye Won Lee,Seung U. Kim,Jun Yong Park,Do Young Kim,Sang Hoon Ahn,Hyun Woong Lee,Jung Il Lee,Ja Kyung Kim,In Kyung Min,Beom Kyung Kim +11 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors evaluated the predictive performance of pre-existing well-validated hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) prediction models, established in patients with HBV-related cirrhosis who started potent antiviral therapy (AVT).
Journal ArticleDOI
Screening, confirmation, and treatment rates of hepatitis C virus infection in a tertiary academic medical center in South Korea
Jae Seung Lee,Hong Jun Choi,Hye Won Lee,Beom Kyung Kim,Jun Yong Park,Do Young Kim,Sang Hoon Ahn,Seung Up Kim +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the status of hepatitis C virus (HCV) screening, confirmation, and treatment rates in a tertiary academic medical center in Korea was evaluated using a retrospective study, where the testing and positivity rates for anti-HCV antibodies and HCV RNA were sequentially analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Increased Serum Antibody Titer against HPV-16 Antigen in Patients with Behçet's Disease.
TL;DR: Whether anti-HPV immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibody titer is increased in Behçet's disease (BD) is evaluated to determine whether HPV itself may be a possible extrinsic triggering infectious agent causing the development of BD.
Journal ArticleDOI
Predictors of Refractory Ascites Development in Patients with Hepatitis B Virus-Related Cirrhosis Hospitalized to Control Ascitic Decompensation
Ju Hee Seo,Seung Up Kim,Jun Yong Park,Do Young Kim,Kwang Hyub Han,Chae Yoon Chon,Sang Hoon Ahn +6 more
TL;DR: Serum potassium was an independent predictor of RA development in patients with HBV-related cirrhosis who were hospitalized to control ascitic decompensation, and Child-Pugh class and RA type were independent predictors for survival.
Journal ArticleDOI
Immunogenicity and protective efficacy of clade 2.3.2.1c and clade 2.3.4.4c H5Nx avian influenza antigen bank vaccines in mice, Korea.
Hyun Mi Kim,Do Young Kim,Yong-Myung Kang,Hyun-Kyu Cho,Chi-Ho Lee,Sang Hyun Choi,Hyunkyoung Lee,You-Chan Bae,Myoung-Heon Lee,Hyun-Mi Kang +9 more
TL;DR: The immunogenicity and protective efficacy of inactivated clade 2.3.2.1c (rgKA435) and H5Nx vaccines, which are representatives of an avian influenza antigen bank in Korea, were examined in mice, conferred 100% protection, with no morbidity, no severe body weight loss, and no virus replication in any of the tissues tested.
