Journal ArticleDOI

Hyaluronan levels are increased systemically in human type 2 but not type 1 diabetes independently of glycemic control.

TL;DR: It is found that serum HA levels are increased in T2D but not T1D independently of hemoglobin-A1c, C-peptide, body mass index, or time since diabetes diagnosis, and these patterns are consistent with inflammatory factors and not hyperglycemia driving increased HA.
Journal ArticleDOI

Abstract 5711: Blood-based early detection of non-small cell lung cancer using orphan noncoding RNAs

TL;DR: Karimzadeh et al. as discussed by the authors assessed the oncRNA content of serum from people with and without non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and developed a prediction model for NSCLC.
Journal ArticleDOI

Abstract P1-05-18: Orphan non-coding RNAs for early detection of breast cancer with liquid biopsy

TL;DR: Cavazos et al. as discussed by the authors developed an assay that measures oncRNAs in serum to detect breast cancer across the range of tumor stages and sizes, and found that this oncRNA-based assay performed well in detecting early-stage breast cancer and small tumors.
Journal ArticleDOI
