Multiple output wavelength composite Raman fiber converter
TL;DR: In this paper, a design and performance analysis of a multiple output wavelength composite Raman fiber converter is presented, which comprises two sections: (1) phosphosilicate and (2) germanium doped fiber sections.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Qualitative theory and modeling of hollow Bragg waveguides
TL;DR: A qualitative analysis of a planar Bragg waveguide using coupled wave theory and rounded permittivity profile of the multilayer cladding is done in this paper, where explicit formulae for trapped mode field distribution, ohmic and radiation losses are derived from the simplified dispersion equation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of fibre design and curvature on crosstalk in multi-core fibre
Olga N. Egorova,M. S. Astapovich,L A Melnikov,L A Melnikov,M. Yu. Salganskii,Vladimir P. Mishkin,K. N. Nishchev,Sergey L. Semjonov,E. M. Dianov +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of cross-sectional structure and bends on optical cross-talk in a multicore fiber was studied and a reduced refractive index layer produced between the cores of such fiber with a small center-to-centre spacing between neighbouring cores (27 μm) was achieved.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Phosphosilicate fiber: simple high-power cw 1.24- and 1.48-/spl mu/m Raman lasers
E. M. Dianov,M.V. Grekov,I. A. Bufetov,Sergei A. Vasiliev,Oleg I. Medvedkov,G. A. Ivanov,A V Belov,V. G. Plotnichenko,V. V. Koltashev,A M Prokhorov +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a cascaded Raman fiber laser which consists of three and six pairs of Bragg gratings for 1.24 and 1.48 /spl mu/m.
