Efficient Yb fiber laser at 980 nm pumped by the high-brightness semiconductor source
Andrei S Kurkov,E. M. Dianov,Vladimir M Paramonov,Oleg I. Medvedkov,Sergei A. Vasiliev,V. Solodovnikov,V. Zhilin,A Yu Laptev,A. A. Umnikov,A N Gur'yanov +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a special active fiber and Yb-doped fiber laser was fabricated to get an efficient high power oscillation in the vicinity of 980 nm. But the laser cavity was formed by two gratings with reflection of 99% and 70% for input and output coupler respectively.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Phosphosilicate Raman gain fibers with varying core concentration for enhanced SBS suppression
James R. Nagel,Valery Temyanko,Jeremy Dobler,M. Salganskii,Mikhail E. Likhachev,V. Alexeev,Mikhail M. Bubnov,E. M. Dianov,Robert A. Norwood,N. Peyghambarian +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, SBS suppressed phosphosilicate Raman gain fibers are demonstrated with longitudinally varying core doping concentrations, achieving a 2.8 dB increase in amplified power.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Dose dependence of luminescence increase in H 2 -loaded Bi-Al co-doped optical fibers by cw 244-nm and pulsed 193-nm laser irradiation
TL;DR: The near infrared luminescence is increased in H2-loaded Bi-Al co-doped optical fibers by irradiation of cw 244-nm or pulsed 193-nm laser light.
Journal ArticleDOI
Excitation of surface acoustic waves in Rb:KTP
TL;DR: In this paper, the first time the excitation of surface acoustic waves (SAWs) by means of interdigital transducers has been realized in Rb : KTP crystals, and the speed of the SAW of 3.9 km/s and the insertion loss of 29 dB were measured at a frequency of 240 MHz.
Annealing-induced stress changes in UV-irradiated germanium-doped fibers
F. Dürr,Hans G. Limberger,René Paul Salathé,Sergei A. Vasiliev,Oleg I. Medvedkov,A. S. Bozhkov,E. M. Dianov +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a reference LOA-CONF-2005-012 Record created on 2009-07-20, modified on 2017-05-10 is used for reference.
