Dörte Kleinschmidt,Anastasios D. Giannou,Heather M. McGee,Jan Kempski,Babett Steglich,Francis J. Huber,Thomas Ernst,Ahmad Mustafa Shiri,Claudia Wegscheid,Elena Tasika,Peter Hübener,Philipp Huber,Tanja Bedke,Niklas Steffens,Theodora Agalioti,Tobias A. Fuchs,Jill Noll,Hannelore Lotter,Gisa Tiegs,Ansgar W. Lohse,Jonathan H. Axelrod,Eithan Galun,Richard A. Flavell,Nicola Gagliani,Nicola Gagliani,Samuel Huber +25 more
TL;DR: IL-22BP plays a protective role in acute liver damage, via controlling IL-22–induced Cxcl10 expression, and neutralization of CXCL10 reversed the increased disease susceptibility of Il22bp-deficient mice.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chronic liver inflammation modifies DNA methylation at the precancerous stage of murine hepatocarcinogenesis.
Evgeniy Stoyanov,Guy Ludwig,Lina Mizrahi,Devorah Olam,Temima Schnitzer-Perlman,Elena Tasika,Gabriele Sass,Gisa Tiegs,Yong Jiang,Ting Nie,James J. Kohler,Raymond F. Schinazi,Paula M. Vertino,Howard Cedar,Eithan Galun,Daniel Goldenberg +15 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that chronic liver inflammation causes hypermethylation of specific CGIs, which may affect both hepatocytes and non-hepatocyte liver cells, and may serve as useful markers of an increased regenerative activity and of a late precancerous stage in the chronically inflamed liver.
