Journal ArticleDOI
Astrometric performance of the Gemini multiconjugate adaptive optics system in crowded fields
Benoit Neichel,Jessica R. Lu,Francois Rigaut,S. Mark Ammons,Eleazar R. Carrasco,Emmanuel Lassalle +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors assess the performance and limitations of the Gemini multiconjugate adaptive optics system (GeMS) and the Gemini South Adaptive Optics Imager (GSAOI).
Journal ArticleDOI
Imaging properties of large field-of-view quadratic metalenses and their applications to fingerprint detection
Emmanuel Lassalle,Tobias W. W. Mass,Damien Eschimese,Anton V. Baranikov,Egor Khaidarov,Shiqiang Li,Ramón Paniagua-Domínguez,Arseniy I. Kuznetsov +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, an in-depth analysis of the properties of quadratic metalenses for large-scale field-of-view imaging is provided, in particular for fingerprint detection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Interplay between spontaneous decay rates and Lamb shifts in open photonic systems.
TL;DR: This description illustrates a fundamental distinction in the behaviors of closed (conservative) and open (dissipative) systems: the Lamb shift is bounded by the emission linewidth in closed systems while it overcomes this limit in open systems.
Journal ArticleDOI
Silicon Nanoantenna Mix Arrays for a Trifecta of Quantum Emitter Enhancements.
Zhaogang Dong,Sergey Gorelik,Ramón Paniagua-Domínguez,Johnathan Yik,Jinfa Ho,Febiana Tjiptoharsono,Emmanuel Lassalle,Soroosh Daqiqeh Rezaei,Darren C. J. Neo,Ping Bai,Arseniy I. Kuznetsov,Joel K. W. Yang,Joel K. W. Yang +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a Si mix antenna array was proposed to achieve a trifecta enhancement of ∼1200-fold with a Purcell factor of ∼47 by incorporating ∼10 nm gaps, within which fluorescent molecules strongly absorb the pump laser energy through a resonant mode.
Journal ArticleDOI
Long-lifetime coherence in a quantum emitter induced by a metasurface
Emmanuel Lassalle,Philippe Lalanne,Syed Abdullah Aljunid,Patrice Genevet,Brian Stout,Thomas Durt,David Wilkowski,David Wilkowski +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, Agarwal et al. showed that an anisotropic quantum vacuum can induce a long-lifetime coherence in an atomic Λ transition from the process of spontaneous emission, which has an additional advantage of removing the need for coherent laser excitation.
