Journal ArticleDOI

Immune modulation of biologic systems in renal somatic cells

TL;DR: Although the preceding examples represent only a small fraction of those which may take place within the glomerular and tubular microenvironments, these paradigms may nevertheless serve as new models upon which one can consider the multitude of potential communications between disparate biologic systems that connect in complex organisms.
Journal ArticleDOI

Finding New Sea Legs for Urine Proteomics

TL;DR: A commentary published in this issue of JASN regarding studies undertaken in search of new biomarkers using urinary proteomics and its applications to clinical or experimental disease is drawn attention.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dogs don't bark at parked cars

TL;DR: As I reflect on my 6 years as editor-in-chief, there are many highpoints in reporting new discoveries, but none compares with sharing the complexity of publishing with colleagues.
Journal ArticleDOI

Murine interstitial nephritis. VIII. Characterization of Igh-V restriction determinants in the development of anti-idiotypic immunity using blocking antibodies.

TL;DR: The authors' alpha Igh-V antisera, adsorbed against network idiotypes, can interfere with the IGH-V restriction used in the induction of Ts-2 suppression by TsF1, and appear to behave like activation molecules.
