TL;DR: Investigation of dopamine release in the ventral striatum in relation to gambling performance on the Iowa Gambling Task showed that Pathological Gamblers with dopamine release had significantly lower IGT performance than Healthy Controls, and dopamine release was associated with significantly higher I GT performance in Healthy Controls and significantly lowerIGT performance in PathologicalGamblers.
