Journal ArticleDOI
A survey of aflatoxin M1 in milk and sweets of Punjab, Pakistan
Asma Sadia,Asma Sadia,Makhdoom Abdul Jabbar,Youjun Deng,Erum Akbar Hussain,Sualeha Riffat,Saima Naveed,Muhammad Arif +7 more
TL;DR: The results indicated that the community is constantly exposed to these toxins, and regulatory mechanism should be implemented to control the toxins in milk and milk products.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhanced antibacterial activity of chitosan, guar gum and polyvinyl alcohol blend matrix loaded with amoxicillin and doxycycline hyclate drugs
Dure Najaf Iqbal,Syed Ehtisham-ul-Haque,Sundas Ahmad,Khadija Arif,Erum Akbar Hussain,Munawar Iqbal,Samar Z. Alshawwa,Mazhar Abbas,Nyla Amjed,Arif Nazir +9 more
TL;DR: A series of semisynthetic polymeric blended membranes based on GG (guar gum), CS (chitosan) and PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) was fabricated for sustained delivery of antibacterial drugs as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Friedel-Crafts reactions in aqueous media and their synthetic applications
TL;DR: In this paper, a review article validates the applications of water as a solvent for Friedel-Crafts-based reaction, especially the C C C bond formations, and shows that water provides mild reaction conditions as well as protecting group free synthesis along with reactivity and selectivity in organic synthesis.
Journal Article
Green biopolymer guar gum and its derivatives
TL;DR: Guar gum is an outstanding representative of green, eco-friendaly biopolymers as discussed by the authors, and different methodologies to modify guar to enhance and diversify its properties and application range are discussed and reviewed.
Journal Article
Synthesis and characterization of guar gum derivatives with antioxidant moieties
TL;DR: In this article, the authors introduced new green, nontoxic, cost effective derivatives of guar gum with antioxidant moieties covalently bounded to guar backbone, which can improve and diversify its commercial applications.
