TL;DR: The evidence generally supports that consumption of up to 400 mg caffeine/day in healthy adults is not associated with overt, adverse cardiovascular effects, behavioral effects, reproductive and developmental effects, acute effects, or bone status and a shift in caffeine research to focus on characterizing effects in sensitive populations is supported.

Key Findings and Implications of a Recent Systematic Review of the Potential Adverse Effects of Caffeine Consumption in Healthy Adults, Pregnant Women, Adolescents, and Children.
Candace Doepker,Kara Franke,Esther Myers,Jeffrey J. Goldberger,Harris R. Lieberman,Charles A. O'Brien,Jennifer D. Peck,Milton Tenenbein,Connie M. Weaver,Daniele Wikoff +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors conducted a systematic review on caffeine safety and concluded that the levels of intake that were previously determined not to be associated with any adverse health effects remain appropriate for five outcomes (acute toxicity, cardiovascular toxicity, bone & calcium effects, behavior, and development and reproduction) in healthy adults, pregnant women, adolescents, and children.
