Molecular Mechanism of Macrophage Activation by Red Ginseng Acidic Polysaccharide from Korean Red Ginseng
Se Eun Byeon,Jaehwi Lee,Ji Hye Kim,Woo Seok Yang,Yi-Seong Kwak,Sun Young Kim,Eui Su Choung,Man Hee Rhee,Jae Youl Cho +8 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that RGAP can activate macrophage function through activation of transcription factors such as NF-κB and AP-1 and their upstream signaling enzymes such as ERK and JNK and that TLR2 seems to be a target surface receptor of RGAP.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sorbaria kirilowii Ethanol Extract Exerts Anti-Inflammatory Effects In Vitro and In Vivo by Targeting Src/Nuclear Factor (NF)-κB.
Jiwon Jang,Jong Sub Lee,Young-Jin Jang,Eui Su Choung,Wan Yi Li,Sang Woo Lee,Eunji Kim,Jong-Hoon Kim,Jae Youl Cho +8 more
TL;DR: S. kirilowii ethanol extract exerts its anti-inflammatory activity by regulating intracellular NF-κB signaling pathways and also shows an authentic effect on reducing gastric inflammation.
Journal ArticleDOI
8-(Tosylamino)quinoline inhibits macrophage-mediated inflammation by suppressing NF-κB signaling.
Yongwoo Jung,Se Eun Byeon,Dae Sung Yoo,Yong Gyu Lee,Tao Yu,Yanyan Yang,Ji Hye Kim,Eunji Kim,Deok Jeong,Man Hee Rhee,Eui Su Choung,Sungyoul Hong,Jae Youl Cho +12 more
TL;DR: 8-TQ exerts significant anti-inflammatory activity through the inhibition of the Akt/NF-κB pathway, thus may be developed as a novel anti- inflammatory drug.
Journal ArticleDOI
In Vitro Anti-Photoaging and Skin Protective Effects of Licania macrocarpa Cuatrec Methanol Extract
Kon Kuk Shin,Sanghee Park,Hye Yeon Lim,Laura Rojas Lorza,Nurinanda Prisky Qomaladewia,Long You,Nur Aziz,Sooa Kim,Jong Sub Lee,Eui Su Choung,Jin Kyung Noh,Dong-Keun Yie,Deok-Jin Jeong,Jongsung Lee,Jae Youl Cho +14 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that Lm-ME plays a role in skin protection through antioxidative, moisturizing, cytoprotective, and skin-lightening properties, and may become a new and promising cosmetic product beneficial for the skin.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anti-Inflammatory Functions of Methanol Extract from Malus baccata (L.) Borkh. Leaves and Shoots by Targeting the NF-κB Pathway
Chao Song,Hongxi Chen,Sooa Kim,Jong Sub Lee,Eui Su Choung,Zhenyu Zhang,Soo-Yong Kim,Jong-Hoon Kim,Jae Youl Cho +8 more
TL;DR: In vitro results showed that Mb-ME could alleviate gastritis and relieve the protein expression of p-Src, p-Syk, and COx-2, as well as the gene expression of COX-2 and TNF-α, and implied that MB-ME performs an anti-inflammatory role by suppressing Syk and Src in the NF-κB signaling pathway, both in vivo and in vitro.
