Journal ArticleDOI
HLA expression and immunologic properties of differentiated and undifferentiated mesenchymal stem cells.
TL;DR: Undifferentiated and differentiated MSC do not elicit alloreactive lymphocyte proliferative responses and modulate immune responses, and the findings support that MSC can be transplantable between HLA-incompatible individuals.
Journal ArticleDOI
Immunologic properties of human fetal mesenchymal stem cells.
Cecilia Götherström,Olle Ringdén,Charlotte Tammik,Eva Zetterberg,Magnus Westgren,Katarina Le Blanc +5 more
TL;DR: Undifferentiated and differentiated fetal MSCs do not elicit alloreactive lymphocyte proliferation, and the results suggest that fetal M SCs have potentials for allogenic transplantation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Splanchnic vein thrombosis in myeloproliferative neoplasms: risk factors for recurrences in a cohort of 181 patients.

TL;DR: Despite anticoagulation treatment, the recurrence rate after SVT in myeloproliferative neoplasms is high and suggests the exploration of new avenues of secondary prophylaxis with new antithrombotic drugs and JAK-2 inhibitors.
Journal ArticleDOI
High rate of recurrent venous thromboembolism in patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms and effect of prophylaxis with Vitamin K antagonists
V. De Stefano,Marco Ruggeri,Francisco Cervantes,Alberto Alvarez-Larrán,Alessandra Iurlo,Maria-Luigia Randi,Elena Maria Elli,Maria Chiara Finazzi,G Finazzi,Eva Zetterberg,Nicola Vianelli,Gianluca Gaidano,Esther Diana Rossi,Silvia Betti,Ilaria Nichele,Daniele Cattaneo,Miroslava Palova,Martin Ellis,R. Vannucchi,T Barbui +30 more
TL;DR: In MPN patients with VTE recurrent thrombosis is significantly reduced by VKA and caution should be adopted in discontinuation; however, the incidence of recurrence on treatment remains high, calling for clinical trials aimed to improve prophylaxis in this setting.
Journal ArticleDOI
Application of whole‐exome sequencing to direct the specific functional testing and diagnosis of rare inherited bleeding disorders in patients from the Öresund Region, Scandinavia
Eva Leinoe,Eva Zetterberg,Savvas Kinalis,Olga Østrup,Peter Kampmann,Eva Norström,Nadine G. Andersson,Jenny Klintman,Klaus Qvortrup,Finn Cilius Nielsen,Maria Rossing +10 more
TL;DR: The genetic investigations detailed here extricated patients from a diagnostic conundrum, thus demonstrating that continuous optimization of the diagnostic work‐up of IBD is of great benefit.
