Internationalization of Polish Journals in the Social Sciences and Humanities: Transformative Role of the Research Evaluation System

TL;DR: In this article, a mixed-method approach involving both one-way analysis of variance, two-way mixed design analysis, and semi-structured interviews was used to investigate how science policy has transformed editorial practices at Polish journals and found that the editors do not discuss the challenges of internationalization, and implement only those internationalization practices that are explicitly required in the system regulations.

How to identify peer-reviewed publications: Open-identity labels in scholarly book publishing

TL;DR: Analysis shows that the open-identity label that Polish publishers use is a type of peer-review label like those used in Flanders and Finland, and as such, it can be used to identify peer-reviewed scholarly books.

TL;DR: The author has reconstructed Wenger's situated learning theory, using two aspects of learning – within and outside community of practice – and analyzed four research papers referring to the concepts of Wenger’s theory to show that in the field of information literacy learning, concepts related to learning within thecommunity of practice are more useful than concepts relatedto learning outside that community.
