Journal ArticleDOI
Forest stand species mapping using the Sentinel-2 time series.
TL;DR: Using the Sentinel-2 time series instead of single date imagery significantly improved forest tree species mapping, by approximately 5–10% of overall accuracy, and combining images from spring and autumn resulted in better species discrimination.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of machine learning algorithms for forest stand species mapping using Sentinel-2 imagery and environmental data in the Polish Carpathians
TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed a workflow to obtain forest stand species maps with machine learning algorithms applied to multi-temporal Sentinel-2 products and environmental data at regional scale.
Journal ArticleDOI
Knowledge and reasoning in design systems
Ewa Grabska,Grażyna Ślusarczyk +1 more
TL;DR: The continuation of the method to develop a knowledge-based decision support design system is presented, which consists in connecting a graph-based knowledge representation with a design reasoning method which uses first-order logic formulas.
Journal ArticleDOI
Historical land use dataset of the Carpathian region (1819–1980)
Juraj Lieskovský,Dominik Kaim,Pál Balázs,Martin Boltižiar,Mateusz Chmiel,Ewa Grabska,Géza Király,Éva Konkoly-Gyuró,Jacek Kozak,Katarína Antalová,Tetyana Kuchma,Peter Mackovčin,Matej Mojses,Catalina Munteanu,Krzysztof Ostafin,Katarzyna Ostapowicz,Oleksandra Shandra,Premysl Stych,Volker C. Radeloff +18 more
TL;DR: The first spatially explicit, cross-border, digital map of long-term (160 years) land use in the Carpathian Ecoregion, the Hungarian part of the Pannonian plains and the historical regi... as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Impact of forecasted land use changes on flood risk in the Polish Carpathians
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the impact of projected land use and land cover changes on future flood risk in the Polish Carpathians for the test area of Ropa river basin.
