Arabidopsis cell surface LRR immune receptor signaling through the EDS1-PAD4-ADR1 node
Rory N Pruitt,Lisha Zhang,Svenja C. Saile,Darya Karelina,Katja Fröhlich,W.-L. Wan,W.-L. Wan,S. Rao,S. Rao,Andrea A. Gust,Federica Locci,Matthieu H. A. J. Joosten,Bart P. H. J. Thomma,Jianmin Zhou,Jeffery L. Dangl,Detlef Weigel,Jane E. Parker,F. El Kasmi,Thorsten Nürnberger,Thorsten Nürnberger +19 more
TL;DR: It is proposed that the EDS1-PAD4-ADR1 node is an essential component and convergence point for immune signaling cascades activated by both surface-resident LRR-RP receptors and intracellular NLR receptors.

A shortcut in forward genetics: concurrent discovery of mutant phenotype and causal mutation in Arabidopsis M2 families via MAD-mapping
D. R. Holmes,R. Morbitzer,Markus Wunderlich,Hequan Sun,F. El Kasmi,Korbinian Schneeberger,Korbinian Schneeberger,Thomas Lahaye +7 more
TL;DR: A novel forward genetics concept where causal DNA changes are identified in the initial M2 mutants, making time consuming establishment of F2 populations obsolete is developed, confirming the hypothesis that causal mutations can be identified directly within phenotypically selected mutant families.
