Journal ArticleDOI

MetDIA: Targeted Metabolite Extraction of Multiplexed MS/MS Spectra Generated by Data-Independent Acquisition

TL;DR: Comparisons of the MetDIA method with data-dependent acquisition (DDA) method demonstrated that MetDia could significantly detect more metabolites in biological samples, and is more accurate and sensitive for metabolite identifications.
Journal ArticleDOI

Disruption of the chitin synthase gene CHS1 from Fusarium asiaticum results in an altered structure of cell walls and reduced virulence.

TL;DR: Re-introduction of a functional CHS1 gene into the Deltachs1 mutant strain restored the wild-type phenotype and reveal an important in vivo role played by a CHS 1 gene in a FHB pathogen whose mycelial chitin could serve as a target for controlling the disease.
Journal ArticleDOI

Combined metabonomic and quantitative real-time PCR analyses reveal systems metabolic changes of Fusarium graminearum induced by Tri5 gene deletion.

TL;DR: It is shown that Tri5 gene deletion induces widespread changes in FG primary metabolism and the combination of NMR-based metabonomics and qRT-PCR analyses are demonstrated as a useful way to understand the systems metabolic changes resulting from a single specific gene knockout in an eukaryotic genome.
Journal ArticleDOI

Natural occurrence of fusarium head blight, mycotoxins and mycotoxin-producing isolates of Fusarium in commercial fields of wheat in Hubei

TL;DR: The importance of chemotyping coupled with species identification for improved prediction of mycotoxin contamination in wheat is suggested, and a preferential biosynthesis of 3-AcDON and 4-AcNIV in rice is revealed.
