Journal ArticleDOI
The Broad-band X-ray Spectrum of IC 4329A from a Joint NuSTAR/Suzaku Observation
Laura Brenneman,Grzegorz Madejski,Felix Fuerst,Giorgio Matt,Martin Elvis,Fiona A. Harrison,David R. Ballantyne,S. E. Boggs,Finn Erland Christensen,William W. Craig,Andrew C. Fabian,Brian W. Grefenstette,C. J. Hailey,Kristin K. Madsen,Andrea Marinucci,E. Rivers,Daniel Stern,Dominic J. Walton,William W. Zhang +18 more
TL;DR: In this article, a deep, simultaneous observation of the bright, nearby Seyfert galaxy IC 4329A with Suzaku and NuSTAR was obtained, and the authors were able to robustly separate the continuum, absorption and distant reflection components in the spectrum.
Journal ArticleDOI
Investigating the Superorbital Modulations in 4U 1909 + 07, IGR J16418-4532, and IGR J16479-4514 with Swift XRT, BAT, and NuSTAR Observations
TL;DR: In this article , the authors analyzed long-term Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory (Swift) Burst Alert Telescope (BAT) observations of three supergiant high mass X-ray binaries (sgHMXBs) and constructed their dynamic power spectra and superorbital intensity profiles.
Journal ArticleDOI
Unveiling the disc structure in ultraluminous X-ray source NGC 55 ULX-1
Fernando Barra,C. Pinto,Dominic J. Walton,P. Kosec,A. D'Aì,T. Di Salvo,M. Del Santo,Hannah P. Earnshaw,Andrew C. Fabian,Felix Fuerst,A. Marino,Fabio Pintore,A.A. Robba,Timothy P.L. Roberts +13 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors studied the temporal evolution of the spectral components of the variable source NGC 55 ULX-1 and modelled the spectra with two blackbody components which they interpreted as thermal emission from the inner accretion and the regions around or beyond the spherization radius.
Journal ArticleDOI
Probing the nature of the low state in the extreme ultraluminous X-ray pulsar NGC5907 ULX1
Felix Fuerst,Dominic J. Walton,G. L. Israel,Matteo Bachetti,Didier Barret,Murray Brightman,Hannah P. Earnshaw,Andrew C. Fabian,Marianne Heida,M. Imbrogno,Matthew J. Middleton,Ciro Pinto,Ruben Salvaterra,Timothy P.L. Roberts,G. A. Rodriguez Castillo,N. W. Q. S. F. Esaesac,Car,U. Hertfordshire,IoA Cambridge,Inaf-Iasf Roma,INAF-OA Cagliari,Cnrs Irap,Caltech,Eso,U. R. Vergata,Universityof Southampton,INAF-IASF Palermo,Inaf-Iasf Milano,D. University +28 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a long-term monitoring of the X-ray flux and the pulse period between 2003-2022 was presented, showing that the source was either in an off-state or low-state between mid-2017 to mid-2020.
