Porous MgO-stabilized CaO-based powders/pellets via a citric acid-based carbon template for thermochemical energy storage in concentrated solar power plants

TL;DR: In this article, a sacrificial citric acid-based carbon template was developed to produce high-performance CaO-based sorbents to mitigate the progressive deactivation with sequential carbonation-calcination cycling.
Journal ArticleDOI

Molten shell-activated, high-performance, un-doped Li4SiO4 for high-temperature CO2 capture at low CO2 concentrations

TL;DR: In this paper, an efficient and pure form of Li4SiO4 (MC-0.6) was synthesized to achieve a maximum uptake capacity of 35.0% at 580°C for CO2 concentrations under 15% and maintained this capacity over multiple cycles.
Journal ArticleDOI

CO2 Capture Performance of Gluconic Acid Modified Limestone-Dolomite Mixtures under Realistic Conditions

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed CaL technology to capture CO2 from fossil fuel power plants, but with increasing numbers of reaction cycles, the CO2 capture capability of CaL is limited.

Magnesium-modified globular calcium-based thermochemical energy storage material and preparation method thereof

TL;DR: In this article, a magnesium-modified globular calcium-based thermochemical energy storage material and a preparation method thereof are described. But the preparation method comprises the following steps: weighing a calcium source precursor and a stabilizer magnesium source precursor according to a certain ratio, grinding for uniform mixing, and calcining the mixture in an air atmosphere to obtain a calciumoxide and magnesium oxide mixed powder; adding an organic carbon source, performing mixing for uniformity, and carbonizing the obtained material at a constant temperature in an inert atmosphere to get a fluffy black solid with a carbon template.

Modified magnesium-oxide-based carbon dioxide adsorbent and preparation method thereof

TL;DR: In this paper, a modified magnesium-oxide-based carbon dioxide adsorbent and a preparation method for its preparation is described, which comprises the following steps of weighing an inorganic magnesium source precursor and alkali metal nitrate, placing the two components in a vessel containing deionized water, then adding a carbon source, conducting stirring at the constant temperature of 80 DEG C under a water bath condition, and placing the pale yellow colloid in a drying oven at 70 deG C overnight for drying to obtain ayellow colloid.
