TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the EPR and optical absorption spectra during thermal annealing of stoichiometric MgAl2O4 spinel that was previously irradiated in the Materials Open Test Assembly in the Fast Flux Test Facility (FFTF/MOTA) at ≈680-K to ≈50-dpa.

TL;DR: Although titanium addition strongly alters the void microstructure, swelling at about 420°C does not change with titanium additions, but the sensitivity to dose rate is preserved.
Abstract: Ternary austenitic model alloys were modified with 0.25 wt.% titanium and irradiated in FFTF reactor at dose rates ranging over more than two orders in magnitude. While lowering of dose rate strongly increases swelling by shortening the incubation dose, the steady state swelling rate is not affected by dose rate. Although titanium addition strongly alters the void microstructure, swelling at {approx} 420 C does not change with titanium additions, but the sensitivity to dose rate is preserved.

TL;DR: In this paper, a comparison between the proton induced relaxation of internal stresses and predictions based on neutron-induced relaxation of externally-applied stresses was made, and the relatively good agreement indicates that proton irradiation is a valid emulation of neutron irradiation for this application.
