6LoWSoft: A software suite for the design of outdoor environmental measurements

TL;DR: LoWSoft is a complete software suite applied to the design of wireless sensor networks operating by sensing the environment through 6LoWPAN networks.
Journal ArticleDOI

Symmetry in Engineering Sciences

TL;DR: This special issue dedicated to geometry in engineering deals with this last concept, which aims to collect both the aspects of geometric solutions in engineering, which may even have a certain aesthetic character, and the aspect of the use of patterns that explain observed phenomena.
Journal ArticleDOI

Water resources availability in southern Europe at the basin scale in response to climate change scenarios

TL;DR: In this article , the authors assess the evolution of runoff distribution and its impact on available water resources under different climate change scenarios in a western Mediterranean basin altered since antiquity and show that the major climatic effect is that at present, runoff is already much lower than that predicted in different basin hydrological policy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Higher-order statistics for power systems: Effects of the sampling frequency on ergodicity

TL;DR: In this article, the authors focused on the ergodicity condition to estimate higher-order statistics, particularly third and fourth order statistics, and demonstrated the influence of the sampling frequency on the sampled signal based on examples involving power systems and components.
Journal ArticleDOI

Developing Topographic Surveying Software to Train Civil Engineers

TL;DR: In this paper, a learning tool is developed for the improvement of professional skills in topographic surveying subjects taught in engineering degree programs, focusing on developing the skill involved in virtual rod reading through the telescope of topographic equipment.
