Proceedings ArticleDOI

A highly integrated 32-SOA gates optoelectronic module suitable for IP multi-terabit optical packet routers

TL;DR: For the first time, the realization and the performance of a compact optoelectronic 32-SOA module including their drivers is reported and preliminary experiments in an optical packet switching matrix for IP multi-terabit router.
Journal ArticleDOI

Physical and logical validation of a network based on all-optical packet switching systems

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the structure of the packet-switching node and the physical and logical analysis of the network including more than 40 network sections based on 160 Gb/s throughput optical packet switching nodes could operate error free.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Fast optical amplifier gate array for WDM routing and switching applications

TL;DR: In this article, the first sub-nanosecond switching of a four clamped gain optical amplifiers driven by integrated InP HBT drivers is presented, which is the first time for such an array.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

32 /spl times/ 10 Gbit/s DWDM metropolitan network demonstration with 10 waveband-ADMs and 155 km TeraLight/spl trade/ Metro fiber

TL;DR: In this article, the authors demonstrated the physical feasibility of a transparent waveband-based DWDM metropolitan ring network with 10 nodes and different fiber spans between nodes, which operates at 32 /spl times/10 Gbit/s per fiber over up to 155 km TeraLight/spl trade/ Metro fiber in an experiment which is representative of a real metropolitan network.
