Journal ArticleDOI
Resonantly Enhanced Second-Harmonic Generation Using III-V Semiconductor All-Dielectric Metasurfaces.
Sheng Liu,Michael B. Sinclair,Sina Saravi,Gordon A. Keeler,Yuanmu Yang,John L. Reno,Gregory M. Peake,Frank Setzpfandt,Isabelle Staude,Thomas Pertsch,Igal Brener +10 more
TL;DR: The polarization properties of the SHG reveal that both bulk and surface nonlinearities play important roles in the observed nonlinear process, and this work presents, for the first time, resonantly enhanced second-harmonic generation using gallium arsenide (GaAs) based dielectric metasurfaces.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spatial and spectral light shaping with metamaterials.
Benny Walther,Christian Helgert,Carsten Rockstuhl,Frank Setzpfandt,Falk Eilenberger,Ernst-Bernhard Kley,Falk Lederer,Andreas Tünnermann,Andreas Tünnermann,Thomas Pertsch +9 more
TL;DR: Plasmonic metamaterials exhibit strong and tunable dispersion, as a result of their pronounced resonances, which is used to construct an ultrathin light-shaping element that produces different waves at two distinct wavelengths in the near IR range.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fabrication of nanoscale lithium niobate waveguides for second-harmonic generation.
Reinhard Geiss,Sina Saravi,Anton Sergeyev,Séverine Diziain,Frank Setzpfandt,Frank Schrempel,Rachel Grange,Ernst-Bernhard Kley,Andreas Tünnermann,Thomas Pertsch +9 more
TL;DR: Based on a lithium niobate on insulator substrate, millimeter-long nanoscale waveguides were fabricated with widths as small as 200 nm, showing phase-matched second-harmonic generation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Perspectives for Applications of Quantum Imaging

Journal ArticleDOI
Tailoring Photoluminescence from MoS2 Monolayers by Mie-Resonant Metasurfaces
Tobias Bucher,Aleksandr Vaskin,Rajeshkumar Mupparapu,Franz J. F. Löchner,Antony George,Katie E. Chong,Stefan Fasold,Christof Neumann,Duk-Yong Choi,Falk Eilenberger,Frank Setzpfandt,Yuri S. Kivshar,Thomas Pertsch,Andrey Turchanin,Isabelle Staude +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the photoluminescence (PL) from monolayers of MoS2 to Mie-resonant metasurfaces consisting of silicon nanocylinders was investigated.
