TL;DR: Results of this study show that oleic acid is as effective as linoleic acid in lowering LDL-C levels in normo-triglyceridemic patients, and oleoic acid seemingly reduces HDL-C Levels less frequently than does linolesic acid.

TL;DR: These experiments demonstrated that only a portion of the fatty acids that are esterified with the /3 position of the dietary triglycerides undergo hydrolysis during the processes of digestion and absorption, and it is possible to elucidate the composition of the lipids that are absorbed, the way they arise by enzymatic Hydrolysis, and how they are subsequently resynthesized into the triglycerides that are found in the lymph.

TL;DR: The specificity of lipase for the primary hydroxyl groups of glycerides is indicated by the recent report of Borgstrom (7), and it will be impossible to demonstrate any specificity which the enzyme may have for particular long chain fatty acids.
