Combined use of CSF NfL and CSF TDP-43 improves diagnostic performance in ALS.

TL;DR: In this article, the diagnostic and prognostic significance of neurofilament light chain (NfL), TAR DNA-binding protein 43 (TDP-43), and total tau (t-tau) in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and plasma of patients with ALS was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Risk factors for neuropsychiatric symptoms in patients with Parkinson's disease during COVID-19 pandemic in Japan.

TL;DR: In this paper, the impact of social restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic on neuropsychiatric symptoms in PD patients and to identify risk factors associated with these symptoms was clarified.

Combined use of CSF NfL and CSF TDP-43 improves diagnostic performance in ALS:A comprehensive analysis on diagnostic and prognostic significance of plasma and CSF NfL, TDP-43, and tau

TL;DR: To determine the diagnostic and prognostic significance of neurofilament light chain (NfL), TAR DNA‐binding protein 43 (TDP‐43), and total tau (t‐tau) in cerebrospinal fluid and plasma of patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and to investigate whether the combined use of those biomarker candidates can improve their diagnostic performance.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cancer-Associated Hypercoagulation Increases the Risk of Early Recurrent Stroke in Patients with Active Cancer

TL;DR: It is suggested that cancer-associated hypercoagulation increases the early recurrent stroke risk in ischemic stroke patients with active cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Parasympathetic Dominant Autonomic Dysfunction in Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease Type 2J with the MPZ Thr124Met Mutation.

TL;DR: The case of a 69-year-old woman with Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease type 2J who presented with Adie's pupil, deafness, and urinary disturbance in addition to motor symptoms suggests that mainly the parasympathetic autonomic function is disturbed in CMT2J.
