Journal ArticleDOI
The in vitro antifungal activity of some dithiocarbamate organotin(IV) compounds on Candida albicans— a model for biological interaction of organotin complexes
Daniele C. Menezes,F. T. Vieira,G.M. de Lima,James L. Wardell,Maria Esperanza Cortés,M. P. Ferreira,M. A. Soares,A. Vilas Boas +7 more
TL;DR: The data suggest that these compounds share some mechanisms of action on cell membranes similar to that of polyene but not with azole drugs, normally used in Candida infections.
Structural studies and cytotoxic activity of N(4)-phenyl-2-benzoylpyridine thiosemicarbazone Sn(IV) complexes
Heloisa Beraldo,G.M. de Lima,A. Perez Rebolledo,Nicoletta Marchini,Gabriella Bombieri,Elaine Maria de Souza Fagundes,Carlos L. Zani,José D. Ayala +7 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Tin(IV) complexes of pyrrolidinedithiocarbamate: synthesis, characterisation and antifungal activity.
Daniele C. Menezes,Flaviana T. Vieira,G.M. de Lima,A.O. Porto,Maria Esperanza Cortés,José D. Ardisson,T.E. Albrecht-Schmitt +6 more
TL;DR: The in vitro antifungal activity of the tin(IV) complexes as well of the ligand was performed on human pathogenic fungi, Candida albicans, and the microorganism presented resistance to the dithiocarbamate ligand and all tin( IV) complexes tested were actives.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, characterisation and thermal decomposition of tin(IV) dithiocarbamate derivatives – single source precursors for tin sulfide powders
Daniele C. Menezes,G.M. de Lima,A.O. Porto,Claudio Luis Donnici,José D. Ardisson,Antonio C. Doriguetto,Javier Ellena +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the reaction of ammonium pyrrolidinedithiocarbamate with SnPh2Cl2 and SnPh3Cl produced in good yield the compounds [S2CN(CH2)4}2{C6H5}2]·-toluene (1) and Sn{S2cn(CH 2)4}{C6h5}3 (2), which were fully characterised by multinuclear NMR [1H,13C{1H} and 119Sn{ 1H}] and 119sn
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, characterization and antifungal activity of new dithiocarbamate-based complexes of Ni(II), Pd(II) and Pt(II)
Isabella P. Ferreira,G.M. de Lima,Eucler B. Paniago,Jacqueline A. Takahashi,Carlos B. Pinheiro +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis, characterization and antifungal activity of the complexes were described, and the results were compared with those of nystatin and miconazole nitrate, used as control drugs.
