Journal ArticleDOI
Micellisation and gelation of triblock copoly(oxyethylene/oxypropylene/oxyethylene), F127
TL;DR: In this paper, a sample of triblock copolym Synperonic F127 was purified and the micellisation and gelation properties of aqueous solutions of purified and unpurified copolymers were investigated by surface tension measurement, static and dynamic light scattering, differential scanning calorimetry and NMR spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Concentrated Aqueous Micellar Solutions of Diblock Copoly(oxyethylene/oxybutylene) E41B8: A Study of Phase Behavior
TL;DR: A phase diagram for aqueous solutions of oxyethylene/oxypropylene (E/B) block copolymer E41B8 is presented in this paper, where the range of techniques used (tube inversion, polarized-light microscopy, rheometry, and differential scanning calorimetry) enabled regions to be assigned to micellar sol, isotropic soft gel, and birefringent hexagonal gel.
Journal ArticleDOI
Poly(NIPAM) microgel particle de-swelling: a light scattering and small-angle neutron scattering study
Helen M. Crowther,Brian R. Saunders,SJ Mears,Terence Cosgrove,Brian Vincent,Stephen M. King,Ga-Er Yu +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) has been used to investigate structural changes during the de-swelling of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) [poly(NIPAM)] microgel particles induced by temperature variation and the addition of free polymer [poly (ethylene oxide)].
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Block Architecture on the Self-Assembly of Copolymers of Ethylene Oxide and Propylene Oxide in Aqueous Solution
TL;DR: In this article, five block copolymers with three linear architectures were prepared by sequential anionic copolymerization, i.e., E102P37, E103P34, E52P34E52, E57P46E57, and P19E113P19.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ordered Phases in Aqueous Solutions of Diblock Oxyethylene/Oxybutylene Copolymers Investigated by Simultaneous Small-Angle X-ray Scattering and Rheology
John A. Pople,Ian W. Hamley,J. P. A. Fairclough,Anthony J. Ryan,Bernd U. Komanschek,A. J. Gleeson,Ga-Er Yu,Colin Booth +7 more
TL;DR: The phase behavior of E 40 B 10 in 0.2 mol dm -3 aqueous K 2 SO 4 was studied as a function of temperature and concentration in this article.
