TL;DR: The lognormal statistical method to estimate survival was retrospectively validated since the 15-year cause-specific survival rates could be calculated using the standard life-table actuarial method, and actuarial calculation can be performed to confirm (validate) the estimation.

Axillary Sentinel Node and Tumour-related Factors Associated with Non-sentinel Node Involvement in Breast Cancer

TL;DR: Isolated tumour cells and micrometastases in axillary sentinel nodes carry a low risk of non-sentinel node metastases, especially if there is extracapsular growth and the proportion of involved sentinel node is high.
