Gene therapy-mediated delivery of targeted cytotoxins for glioma therapeutics

TL;DR: A regulatable adenoviral vector encoding a mutated human IL-13 fused to Pseudomonas exotoxin that specifically binds to IL13Rα2 to provide sustained expression, effective anti-GBM cytotoxicity, and minimal neurotoxicity is developed, representing a significant advance in the development of targeted therapeutics for GBM.
Journal ArticleDOI

Temozolomide Does Not Impair Gene Therapy-Mediated Antitumor Immunity in Syngeneic Brain Tumor Models

TL;DR: The results challenge the notion that chemotherapy leads to a state of immune-suppression which impairs the ability of the immune system to mount an effective antitumor response and supports its clinical implementation in combination with immune-mediated therapies.
Journal ArticleDOI
