A Statistical Study of the Average Iron Charge Distributions inside Magnetic Clouds for Solar Cycle 23
TL;DR: A comprehensive survey of the average iron charge state (Fe) distributions inside 96 MCs for solar cycle 23 using ACE (Advanced Composition Explorer) data is presented in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI
Modeling Particle Acceleration and Transport at a 2-D CME-Driven Shock
TL;DR: Li et al. as mentioned in this paper extended the PATH model to study particle acceleration and transport at a coronal mass ejection (CME)-driven shock in the ecliptic plane using the ZEUS-3D code from 20 solar radii to 2 AU.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tunable perpendicular magnetic anisotropy in epitaxial Y3Fe5O12 films
TL;DR: In this article, an epitaxial (111) Y3Fe5O12 (YIG) films are fabricated by annealing amorphous precursor films that are sputtering deposited on three kinds of single crystal garnet substrates with lattice constants exceeding that of YIG by a ratio from 0.76% to 1.58%.
Journal ArticleDOI
Possible role of coronal streamer as magnetically-closed structure in shock-induced energetic electrons and metric type II radio bursts
TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined two solar type II radio bursts, separated by ~24 hours in time, and found that the type II emissions in both events ended once the CME/shock fronts passed the white-light streamer tip, which is presumably the magnetic cusp of the streamer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Interaction between two coronal mass ejections in the 2013 may 22 large solar energetic particle event
Liu-Guan Ding,Liu-Guan Ding,Gang Li,Yong Jiang,Gui-Ming Le,Chenglong Shen,Yuming Wang,Yao Chen,Fei Xu,Bin Gu,Ya-Nan Zhang +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the eruption and interaction of two coronal mass ejections (CMEs) during the large 2013 May-22 solar energetic particle event using multiple spacecraft observations.
