Journal ArticleDOI
Prolonged total isovolumic time predicts cardiac events following coronary artery bypass surgery
TL;DR: Despite satisfactory surgical revascularization, long t-IVT and systolic dysfunction suggest persistent ventricular dyssynchrony that contributes to post-CABG cardiac events.
Journal ArticleDOI
Association of statin use and clinical outcomes in heart failure patients: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Agata Bielecka-Dabrowa,Agata Bielecka-Dabrowa,Ibadete Bytyçi,Stephan von Haehling,Stefan D. Anker,Jacek Jerzy Jozwiak,Jacek Rysz,Adrian V. Hernandez,Adrian V. Hernandez,Gani Bajraktari,Dimitri P. Mikhalidis,Maciej Banach,Maciej Banach +12 more
TL;DR: In conclusion, statins may have a beneficial effect on CV outcomes irrespective of HF etiology and LVEF level, and Lipophilic statins seem to be much more favorable for patients with heart failure.
Journal ArticleDOI
Independent and incremental prognostic value of Doppler-derived left ventricular total isovolumic time in patients with systolic heart failure.
Gani Bajraktari,Frank Lloyd Dini,Paolo Fontanive,Shpend Elezi,Venera Berisha,Anna Maria Napoli,Manrico Ciuti,Michael Y. Henein +7 more
TL;DR: Prolonged T-IVT added to the prognostic stratification of patients with chronic systolic heart failure and significantly improved the chi-square for the prediction of the outcome.
Journal ArticleDOI
Left atrial structure and function predictors of recurrent fibrillation after catheter ablation: a systematic review and meta-analysis
TL;DR: The aim of this meta‐analysis was to determine left atrial (LA) structure and function indices that predict recurrence of AF.
Journal ArticleDOI
Predictors of exercise capacity in patients with chronic heart failure.
Irfan Daullxhiu,Edmond Haliti,Afrim Poniku,Artan Ahmeti,Violeta Hyseni,Rozafa Olloni,Zana Vela,Shpend Elezi,Gani Bajraktari,Teuta Daullxhiu +9 more
TL;DR: In chronic stable heart failure patients, in addition to age, systemic hypertension as well as LV asynchrony, as reflected by prolonged t-IVT, are independent predictors of poor exercise capacity.
