Journal ArticleDOI
Temporal and spatial variability of personal exposure to radio frequency electromagnetic fields
Patrizia Frei,Evelyn Mohler,Evelyn Mohler,Georg Neubauer,Gaston Theis,Alfred Bürgi,Jürg Fröhlich,Charlotte Braun-Fahrländer,John Bolte,Matthias Egger,Martin Röösli,Martin Röösli +11 more
TL;DR: Exposure to RF-EMF varied considerably between persons and locations but was fairly consistent within persons.
Journal ArticleDOI
Temporal and spatial variation of the chemical composition of PM10 at urban and rural sites in the Basel area, Switzerland
Martin Röösli,Gaston Theis,Nino Künzli,Johannes Staehelin,Patrick Mathys,Lucy Oglesby,Markus Camenzind,C Braun-Fahrländer +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the chemical composition of PM10 both within the city of Basel and among urban and rural sites, and found that carbonaceous substances (elemental carbon, organic matter) and inorganic substances of secondary origin such as sulfate, nitrate and ammonium were the most abundant components of the PM10 in the Basel area (approximately 60-70%).
Journal ArticleDOI
Statistical analysis of personal radiofrequency electromagnetic field measurements with nondetects
Martin Röösli,Patrizia Frei,Evelyn Mohler,Charlotte Braun-Fahrländer,Alfred Bürgi,Jürg Fröhlich,Georg Neubauer,Gaston Theis,Matthias Egger +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared summary statistics computed by robust regression on order statistics with a naive approach, where values below the detection limit were replaced by the value of detection limit.
Journal ArticleDOI
A model for radiofrequency electromagnetic field predictions at outdoor and indoor locations in the context of epidemiological research
Alfred Bürgi,Patrizia Frei,Gaston Theis,Evelyn Mohler,Charlotte Braun-Fahrländer,Jürg Fröhlich,Georg Neubauer,Matthias Egger,Martin Röösli +8 more
TL;DR: A geospatial model to predict the radiofrequency electromagnetic field from fixed site transmitters for use in epidemiological exposure assessment and found a comparable accuracy of the model for indoor and outdoor points.
Journal ArticleDOI
Airborne particle number profiles, particle mass distributions and particle-bound PAH concentrations within the city environment of Basel: an assessment as part of the BRISKA Project
M. Junker,M. Kasper,Martin Röösli,Markus Camenzind,Nino Künzli,Ch Monn,Gaston Theis,C Braun-Fahrländer +7 more
TL;DR: A project aimed at assessing a variety of particulate indicators was carried out at three locations in the city of Basel within the scope of the Basel Air Quality Risk Assessment Project (BRISKA) as mentioned in this paper.
