Journal ArticleDOI
Hydraulic-Fracture-Width Inversion Using Low-Frequency Distributed-Acoustic-Sensing Strain Data Part II: Extension for Multifracture and Field Application
TL;DR: In this article, a Green's function-based algorithm for the inversion of low-frequency distributed-acoustic-sensing (LF-DAS) strain data is proposed.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Numerical Investigation of Gas Production Strategy for the Hydrate Deposits in the Shenhu Area
Preliminary relative permeability estimates of methanehydrate-bearing sand
TL;DR: In this article, the relative permeability of hydrate-bearing sediments is estimated by means of inverse modeling, which involves matching water saturation predictions with observations from a controlled waterflood experiment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Integrated simulation of vertical fracture propagation induced by water injection and its borehole electromagnetic responses in shale gas systems
TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyze fracture propagation induced by hydraulic fracturing with water injection and examine their detectability with crosswell electromagnetic (EM) geophysical methods, finding that the fracture propagation is not the same as propagation of the water front, because fracturing is governed by geomechanics whereas water saturation is determined by multiphase flow.
