Novel metabolites from the marine genus Cystoseira: application of two-dimensional 1H-13C correlation to the structure elucidation

TL;DR: In this article, three novel metabolites of mixed biogenesis have been isolated from brown algae of the genus Cystoseira and their structures have been determined by chemical transformations and spectral analysis, including 2D NMR spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phenolic Fingerprint of Sicilian Modern Cultivars and Durum Wheat Landraces: A Tool to Assess Biodiversity

TL;DR: In this paper, the phenolic profile and content of 10 wheat landraces and three genetically improved cultivars were analyzed by means of HPLC with a diode-array detector and HPLC electrospray ionization MS, revealing 13 metabolites belonging mainly to the classes of hydroxycinnamic acids and flavones C-glycosides.
Journal ArticleDOI

Profiles of essential oils of new Citrus hybrids

TL;DR: The chemical composition of the essential oils of seven new citrus hybrids, obtained by crossbreeding grapefruit with clementine, was analyzed by GC-MS as mentioned in this paper, a total of 58 components were detected, 48 of them fully characterized.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of rootstock genotype on individual metabolic responses and antioxidant potential of blood orange cv. Tarocco Scirè

TL;DR: In this paper, the fruit quality characteristics of sweet orange Tarocco Scire grafted onto ten rootstocks were evaluated, coupling the quantification of phenolic compounds (anthocyanins, flavanones, flavones and hydroxycinnamic acids) through hyphenated chromatographic techniques and the assessment of antioxidant potential (measured in vitro).
Journal ArticleDOI

Agronomic performance, essential oils and hydrodistillation wastewaters of Lavandula angustifolia grown on biochar-based substrates

TL;DR: In this article, a study was conducted to assess the influence of conifer wood biochar on Lavandula angustifolia Miller potted plants grown in a peat-based substrate.
