Journal ArticleDOI

Calcium channels activated by hydrogen peroxide mediate abscisic acid signalling in guard cells

TL;DR: Activation of Ca2+-permeable channels in the plasma membrane of Arabidopsis guard cells by hydrogen peroxide indicates that ABA-induced H2O2 production and the H 2O 2-activated Ca2-activated channels are important mechanisms for A BA-induced stomatal closing.
Journal ArticleDOI

ABI2, a second protein phosphatase 2C involved in abscisic acid signal transduction in Arabidopsis

TL;DR: A pair of highly homologous PP2Cs regulate ABA signaling, and the mutation that confers the abi2‐1 phenotype is equivalent to the mutation previously identified in abi1‐1 and the resulting Gly168Asp abi 2 protein shows a reduced PP2C activity.
Book ChapterDOI

Targets of modifying plant growth and development by ABA-mediated signaling

TL;DR: This work is interested in the signaling steps of ABA that control growth with the aim to specifically modify plant’s growth performance by manipulating individual signaling components.
