Journal ArticleDOI
The GENCODE v7 catalog of human long noncoding RNAs: analysis of their gene structure, evolution, and expression.
Thomas Derrien,Rory Johnson,Giovanni Bussotti,Andrea Tanzer,Sarah Djebali,Hagen Tilgner,Gregory Guernec,David C. Martin,Angelika Merkel,David G. Knowles,Julien Lagarde,Lavanya Veeravalli,Xiaoan Ruan,Yijun Ruan,Timo Lassmann,Piero Carninci,James B. Brown,Leonard Lipovich,José M. González,Mark G. Thomas,Carrie A. Davis,Ramin Shiekhattar,Thomas R. Gingeras,Tim Hubbard,Cedric Notredame,Jennifer Harrow,Roderic Guigó +26 more
TL;DR: The most complete human lncRNA annotation to date is presented, produced by the GENCODE consortium within the framework of the ENCODE project and comprising 9277 manually annotated genes producing 14,880 transcripts, and expression correlation analysis indicates that lncRNAs show particularly striking positive correlation with the expression of antisense coding genes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transcriptomic analysis of intestinal genes following acquisition of pea enation mosaic virus by the pea aphid Acyrthosiphon pisum.
Véronique Brault,Sylvie Tanguy,Catherine Reinbold,Gaël Le Trionnaire,Joel Arneodo,Stéphanie Jaubert-Possamai,Gregory Guernec,Denis Tagu +7 more
TL;DR: This work represents the first large-scale analysis of aphid gene regulation following virus acquisition, and suggests that the virus hijacks a constitutive endocytosis-exocytotic mechanism without heavily perturbing cell metabolism.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of wheat roots infected with the pathogenic fungus Gaeumannomyces graminis var. tritici on gene expression of the biocontrol bacterium Pseudomonas fluorescens Pf29Arp.
Matthieu Barret,Pascale Frey-Klett,Anne-Yvonne Guillerm-Erckelboudt,Morgane Boutin,Gregory Guernec,Alain Sarniguet +5 more
TL;DR: The data showed that the association of the pathogenic fungus with the roots strongly altered Pf29Arp adaptation with differences between early and late G. tritici-colonized and necrotic roots.
Journal ArticleDOI
Using transcriptome profiling to characterize QTL regions on chicken chromosome 5
Guillaume Le Mignon,Guillaume Le Mignon,Colette Désert,Colette Désert,Frédérique Pitel,Sophie Leroux,Olivier Demeure,Olivier Demeure,Gregory Guernec,Behnam Abasht,Behnam Abasht,Madeleine Douaire,Madeleine Douaire,Pascale Le Roy,Pascale Le Roy,Sandrine Lagarrigue,Sandrine Lagarrigue +16 more
TL;DR: Three different but complementary approaches are proposed to improve characterization of a chicken QTL region for abdominal fatness (AF) previously detected on chromosome 5 (GGA5), with the first revealing a QTL undetected using the whole population and the second providing functional information about aQTL region through genes related to the trait and controlled by this region (HMGCS1).
Book ChapterDOI
