Mesozoic tectono-magmatic response in the East Asian ocean-continent connection zone to subduction of the Paleo-Pacific Plate
Sanzhong Li,Yanhui Suo,Xiyao Li,Jie Zhou,M. Santosh,M. Santosh,Pengcheng Wang,Guangzeng Wang,Lingli Guo,Shengyao Yu,Haoyuan Lan,Liming Dai,Zaizhen Zhou,Xianzhi Cao,Junjiang Zhu,Bo Liu,Suhua Jiang,Gang Wang,Guowei Zhang,Guowei Zhang +19 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors provide a comprehensive synthesis of the state-of-the-art information from deformation analysis, magmatism, geochronology, tomography and other fields from this region.
Journal ArticleDOI
Global Meso-Neoproterozoic plate reconstruction and formation mechanism for Precambrian basins: Constraints from three cratons in China
Sanzhong Li,Xiyao Li,Guangzeng Wang,Yiming Liu,Zecheng Wang,Tongshan Wang,Xianzhi Cao,Xiaoyu Guo,Ian D. Somerville,Yang Li,Jie Zhou,Liming Dai,Suhua Jiang,Hao Zhao,Yu Wang,Gang Wang,Shan Yu +16 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the formation mechanisms and tectonic settings of these rift basins as the targets of deep Earth are discussed, based on the restoration of global positions of the three cratons by pre-existing paleomagnetic data and plate reconstruction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Microplate tectonics: new insights from micro-blocks in the global oceans, continental margins and deep mantle
Sanzhong Li,Yanhui Suo,Xiyao Li,Bo Liu,Liming Dai,Guangzeng Wang,Jie Zhou,Yang Li,Yiming Liu,Xianzhi Cao,Ian D. Somerville,Dunling Mu,Shujuan Zhao,Jinping Liu,Fan Meng,Libing Zhen,Lintao Zhao,Junjiang Zhu,Shengyao Yu,Yongjiang Liu,Guowei Zhang +20 more
TL;DR: In this article, the micro-blocks in the global oceans have been summarized according to the following five environments: mid-ocean ridge system, subduction system, transform fault system, deep-sea intraplate system and extension-rift system.
Journal ArticleDOI
The effect of offset on fracture permeability of rocks from the Southern Andes Volcanic Zone, Chile
Pamela Pérez-Flores,Guangzeng Wang,Thomas M. Mitchell,Philip G. Meredith,Yoshitaka Nara,V. Sarkar,José Cembrano +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured the permeability of four representative lithologies from the volcanic basement in this area: crystalline tuff, andesitic dike, altered andesite and granodiorite, and demonstrated that the fracture damage zones developed within the Southern Andes Volcanic Zone (SVZ) produce permeable regions, especially within the transtensional NE-striking fault zones.
