Alternative methods for determining anaerobic biodegradability: A review
M. Lesteur,Véronique Bellon-Maurel,Catherine Gonzalez,Eric Latrille,Jean-Michel Roger,Guillaume Junqua,Jean-Philippe Steyer +6 more
TL;DR: Alternative methods for determining the anaerobic biodegradability of solid waste are presented and spectroscopy techniques seem to be useful for determining biodegradation, in particular by taking into account the interaction between different molecules in the organic matter.
Journal ArticleDOI
Environmental assessment of a territory: an overview of existing tools and methods.
TL;DR: This comparison highlights the strengths and weaknesses of each tool and emphasizes that the approach of life cycle assessment could provide a relevant framework for the environmental assessment of territories as it is the only method which can avoid burden shifting between life cycle stages, environmental impacts and territories.
Journal ArticleDOI
First step towards a fast analytical method for the determination of Biochemical Methane Potential of solid wastes by near infrared spectroscopy.
M. Lesteur,M. Lesteur,M. Lesteur,Eric Latrille,V. Bellon Maurel,Jean-Michel Roger,Catherine Gonzalez,Guillaume Junqua,Jean-Philippe Steyer +8 more
TL;DR: This study investigates the use of near infrared spectroscopy to predict the Biochemical Methane Potential value of municipal solid waste and is the first time near infrared Spectroscopy is used to predict this value.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adapting the LCA framework to environmental assessment in land planning
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a methodological framework for the required environmental assessment stages in land planning, based on the European directive (EC/2001/42) on strategic environmental assessment, which has become mandatory for plans and programs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Implementing industrial ecology in port cities: international overview of case studies and cross-case analysis
Juliette Cerceau,Nicolas Mat,Guillaume Junqua,Liming Lin,Valérie Laforest,Catherine Gonzalez +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present the result of a research project (2011-2012) consisting of an international inventory of innovative resource management initiatives in port areas, and analyze 23 port industrial ecology initiatives.
