Photonic crystal fiber for dispersion compensation

TL;DR: The dispersion and mode characteristics in a dual-concentric-core photonic crystal fiber, based on pure silica, are simulated by the multipole method and shows that even if there are some changes in the structure parameters during fabrication, these fibers can still maintain a fine dispersion-compensating property.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design and Analysis of a Microstructure Ring Fiber for Orbital Angular Momentum Transmission

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a novel microstructure fiber with annular core for transmitting optical orbital angular momentum (OAM), and the OAM modes are calculated under different structure parameters of the fiber.
Journal ArticleDOI

High Sensitivity Refractive Index Sensor Based on Multicoating Photonic Crystal Fiber With Surface Plasmon Resonance at Near-Infrared Wavelength

TL;DR: In this paper, a pure silica core photonic crystal fiber with multicoating layers for high refractive index (RI) sensing is proposed, where Tantalum pentoxide is deposited on Au in order to prevent the oxidation and further enhance the evanescent field.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design of Photonic Crystal Fiber Filter With Narrow Width and Single-Polarization Based on Surface Plasmon Resonance

TL;DR: In this paper, a photonic crystal fiber (PCF) filter was proposed to achieve a narrow width and single-polarization through the principle of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) by a full-vector modal solver based on the finite element method.
