Epigenetic Effects of Boron (b) Pollution on Zea mays (l.) Seedlings

TL;DR: It was revealed that four concentrations of boron caused DNA methylation, one of the mechanisms that affect the expression of gene, in maize species.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Antiproliferative and apoptotic effects of diffractaic acid in A549 and AGS cancer cells

TL;DR: Estimation of antiproliferative and apoptotic effects of diffractaic acid by measuring the gene expression changes of topo II α, caspase-3 and p53 on A549 and AGS cancer cells found it was determined that concentrations of 12,5, 50 and 100 µg / ml were antiprolified and apoptosis for the A549 cancer cell line.
Journal ArticleDOI

The anti-genotoxic effect of some lichenic acids

TL;DR: Four lichen secondary metabolites; diffractaic acid, lecanoric acid, lobaric acid and vul pinic acid were evaluated for the anti-genotoxic effects on human lymphocytes in vitro using single cell gel electrophoresis (SCGE) or comet assay and it was determined that the most effective among the tested compounds was vulpinic acid.
