Baade,Freddie Bray,Ahmedin Jemal,Xue Qin Yu,Jie He +43 more
TL;DR: There was a marked overall increase in cancer survival from 2003 to 2015 in the population covered by these cancer registries in China, possibly reflecting advances in the quality of cancer care in these areas.

Cancer survival in China, 2003–2005: A population‐based study
Hongmei Zeng,Rongshou Zheng,Yuming Guo,Siwei Zhang,Xiaonong Zou,Ning Wang,Limei Zhang,Jingao Tang,Jianguo Chen,Kuangrong Wei,Suqin Huang,Jian Wang,Liang Yu,Deli Zhao,Guohui Song,Jianshun Chen,Yong-Zhou Shen,Xiaoping Yang,Xiaoping Gu,Feng Jin,Qilong Li,Yanhua Li,Hengming Ge,Fengdong Zhu,Jianmei Dong,Guoping Guo,Ming Wu,Lingbin Du,Xibin Sun,Yutong He,Michel P Coleman,Peter D. Baade,Wanqing Chen,Xue Qin Yu +33 more
TL;DR: The poor population survival rates in China emphasize the urgent need for government policy changes and investment to improve health services and increasing access of health service in rural areas and providing basic health‐care to the disadvantaged populations will be essential for reducing this disparity in the future.

Effectiveness of one-time endoscopic screening programme in prevention of upper gastrointestinal cancer in China: a multicentre population-based cohort study.
Ru Chen,Yong Liu,Guohui Song,Bian-Yun Li,Deli Zhao,Zhaolai Hua,Xinzheng Wang,Jun Li,Changqing Hao,Zhang Liwei,Shuzheng Liu,Jialin Wang,Jinyi Zhou,Yongzhen Zhang,Bo Li,Yanyan Li,Xiang Feng,Lin Li,Dong Zhiwei,Wenqiang Wei,Guiqi Wang +20 more
TL;DR: Among individuals aged 40 to 69 years in high risk areas of upper gastrointestinal cancer, one-time endoscopic screening programme was associated with a significant decrease inupper gastrointestinal cancer incidence and mortality.
Journal ArticleDOI
Annual cost of illness of stomach and esophageal cancer patients in urban and rural areas in China: A multi-center study.
Zhixun Yang,Hongmei Zeng,Ruyi Xia,Qian Liu,Kexin Sun,Rongshou Zheng,Siwei Zhang,Changfa Xia,He Li,Shuzheng Liu,Zhiyi Zhang,Yuqin Liu,Guizhou Guo,Guohui Song,Yigong Zhu,Xianghong Wu,Bing-Bing Song,Xianzhen Liao,Yanfang Chen,Wenqiang Wei,Guihua Zhuang,Wanqing Chen +21 more
TL;DR: The ACI of stomach and esophageal cancer was tremendous and varied substantially among the population in China and preferential policies of medical insurance should be designed to tackle with this burden and further reduce the health care inequalities.
Journal ArticleDOI
Endoscopy screening effect on stage distributions of esophageal cancer: A cluster randomized cohort study in China.
Chen-Tao Guan,Guohui Song,Bian-Yun Li,Yan-Wei Gong,Changqing Hao,Liyan Xue,Wanqing Chen,Wenqiang Wei +7 more
TL;DR: The present study proved short‐term screening efficacy through describing and comparing disease stage distributions of intervention and control populations and found early‐stage esophageal cancer cases accounted for a higher proportion after endoscopy screening, and the efficacy in the target population depends on the intervention compliance.
