Electrocoagulation processes: A general review about role of electro-generated flocs in pollutant removal

TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss the mechanisms of pollutant removal by electro-generated hydroxide and oxyhydroxide flocs during EC process and show that the most commonly used removal mechanisms of (oxy)hydroxides and (oxynodes) are adsorption and coprecipitation, charge neutralization and surface complexation, and direct/indirect radical oxidation respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

ZIF-67-assisted construction of hollow core/shell cactus-like MnNiCo trimetal electrodes and Co, N dual-doped carbon electrodes for high-performance hybrid supercapacitors

TL;DR: In this article, a hybrid supercapacitor with high power and energy density is designed based on innovative materials and unique structures, which can achieve an outstanding specific capacity of 82 C cm−2 at 15 mA cm −2 (10293 C g−1 at 1 A g −1) and an impressive cycling retention of 88% after 3000 cycles at 20 mAcm−2, showing enormous potential in energy-storage applications.
Journal ArticleDOI

Iron-Containing TS-1 Zeolites with Controllable Mesopores by Desilication and Their Application in Phenol Hydroxylation

TL;DR: Hierarchical iron-containing TS-1 zeolites (FTS) were successfully synthesized via post-treatment desilication over microporous Fe-TS-1, which were prepared through a one-step hydrothermal synthesi...
Journal ArticleDOI

Racing Crystallization Mechanism for Economical Design of Single-Crystal Hollow ZSM-5 with the Broken Limit of Si/Al Ratio and Improved Mass Transfer

TL;DR: In this paper, a one-step and low-cost strategy without mesoporogen was successfully developed to synthesize single-crystal hollow ZSM-5 containing mesopores/macropores, with variable Si/Al ratios of about 14-∞ and 114- ∞ at critical TPA+/SiO2 ratios of 0.05-0.1 and 0.
Journal ArticleDOI

One-step synthesis of high-amount Fe-doped hollow MFI zeolite by Kirkendall effect in the presence of organic acid anions

TL;DR: In this article, a free-mesoporogen strategy was proposed to synthesize high-amount Fe-doped hollow silicate-1 with various cheap organic acids or derivative salts of organic acids.
