Journal ArticleDOI
Electrocoagulation processes: A general review about role of electro-generated flocs in pollutant removal
TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss the mechanisms of pollutant removal by electro-generated hydroxide and oxyhydroxide flocs during EC process and show that the most commonly used removal mechanisms of (oxy)hydroxides and (oxynodes) are adsorption and coprecipitation, charge neutralization and surface complexation, and direct/indirect radical oxidation respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Direct immersion single-drop microextraction of semi-volatile organic compounds in environmental samples: A review.
Isaac Delove Tegladza,Tong Qi,Tianyu Chen,Kingdom Alorku,Sheng Tang,Wei Shen,Dezhao Kong,Aihua Yuan,Jianfeng Liu,Hian Kee Lee +9 more
TL;DR: This review presents a historical overview and current advances in DI-SDME, including the common analytical tools which are usually coupled with DI- SDME, and focuses on applications concerning SVOCs in environmental samples.
Journal ArticleDOI
Combined metal/air fuel cell and electrocoagulation process: Energy generation, flocs production and pollutant removal.
TL;DR: Compared with EC process, iron/air FC-EC process shows lower energy consumption and high removal efficiency for treating acid wastewater, and the porous nickel cathode which has a good performance in high polarization zone was selected as the ideal air cathode.
Journal ArticleDOI
Control of crystal nucleation, size and morphology using micro−/nanobubbles as green additives – a review
TL;DR: In this article , a summary of recent studies that addressed the question of whether micro−/nanobbles provide heterogeneous substrates to impact metastable zone width (MSZW), the nucleation induction time (tind) and solubility, by looking at the influence of gassing parameters (gassing duration, gassing supersaturation and gassing flow rate) during gassing crystallization.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Trace Sodium Polystyrene Sulfonate on the Solubility, Nucleation and Crystallization of Thiourea from Metastable Zone Width Data
TL;DR: In this article , the authors examined the effect of sodium polystyrene sulfonate (NaPSS) on the metastable zone width (MSZW) of Thiourea (TU) in aqueous solution.
