Production, properties and catalytic hydrogenation of furfural to fuel additives and value-added chemicals

TL;DR: In this article, a comprehensive review of the strategies to produce furfural, new approaches and numerous possibilities to utilize it in industrial and laboratory sector for the production of fuel additives and value-added chemicals are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of F-Doped Flower-like TiO2 Nanostructures with High Photoelectrochemical Activity

TL;DR: The approach described in this study provides a simple and novel method to synthesize F-doped TiO(2) nanostructured materials that are ready for practical applications such as the photodegradation of wastewater.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and Characterization of Carbon-Doped TiO2 Nanostructures with Enhanced Visible Light Response

TL;DR: In this paper, carbon-doped TiO2 microspheres and nanotubes have been synthesized via a single source chemical vapor deposition in an inert atmosphere and the effect of the temperature, substrate, and the flow rate of the carrier gas is investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

A novel hydrogen peroxide biosensor based on the immobilization of horseradish peroxidase onto Au-modified titanium dioxide nanotube arrays.

TL;DR: Electrochemical measurements show that the Au-modified TiO(2) nanotube arrays provide excellent matrices for the immobilization of HRP and that the optimized electrochemical biosensor exhibits long linearity, a low detection limit, high stability and very good reproducibility for the detection of H(2).
Journal ArticleDOI

Zeta potential of shape-controlled TiO2 nanoparticles with surfactants

TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the zeta potential of shape-and size-controlled TiO2 nanoparticles obtained with the introduction of surfactants during synthesis at different pH values.
