Journal ArticleDOI

Low cost surface passivation for p-type mc-Si based on pseudobinary alloys (Al2O3)x(TiO2)1−x

TL;DR: In this paper, the optical, dielectric and electrophysical properties of pseudobinary alloy (PBA) films were investigated for applications as back side surface passivation for thin multicrystalline silicon cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Simulation and Implementation of a Porous Silicon Reflector for Epitaxial Silicon Solar Cells

TL;DR: In this article, a long-wavelength reflector at the interface between the epitaxial layer and the substrate was used to evaluate the performance of thin film crystalline silicon solar cells on a supporting silicon substrate.
Journal ArticleDOI

Poly-Si films prepared by rapid thermal CVD on boron and phosphorus silicate glass coated ceramic substrates

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the crystallographic properties of polycrystalline silicon films formed on doped (boron or phosphorus) or undoped silicate glass coated ceramic substrates using the chemical vapor deposition method at high temperatures.
Journal ArticleDOI

Epitaxially grown emitters for thin film crystalline silicon solar cells

TL;DR: In this article, the doping profile and thickness of the epitaxial layers are optimized for thin-film crystalline silicon solar cells to achieve high open-circuit voltages.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study of the hydrogenation mechanism by rapid thermal anneal of SiN:H in thin-film polycrystalline-silicon solar cells

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of the junction and the grain size on hydrogen diffusion in thin polycrystalline-silicon (pc-Si) solar cells was investigated, and it was shown that the presence of a p-n junction acts as a barrier for hydrogen diffusion.
