Collisions between similaritons in optical fiber amplifiers
Christophe Finot,Guy Millot +1 more
TL;DR: It is shown both theoretically and experimentally that the collision of two similaritons induces a sinusoidal modulation inside the overlap region, whose frequency decreases during the interaction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rotational and vibrational relaxation of the ν1/2ν2 Fermi dyad in CO2 gas from Raman‐infrared double resonance experiments
TL;DR: In this paper, a pulsed Raman excitation populates the studied state over a brief time interval (7 ns) and the ensuing collisional depopulation of this level is monitored by a continuous probe CO2 laser whose transition originates in the same level.
Journal ArticleDOI
All-optical extinction-ratio enhancement of a 160 GHz pulse train by a saturable-absorber vertical microcavity
David Massoubre,J.L. Oudar,Julien Fatome,Stéphane Pitois,Guy Millot,Jean Decobert,Jean Landreau +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a vertical access passive all-optical gate was used to improve the extinction ratio of a 160 GHz picosecond pulse train at 1555 nm with an extinction ratio enhancement of 6 dB.
Journal ArticleDOI
Polarization Symmetry Breaking and Pulse Train Generation from the Modulation of Light Waves
Journal ArticleDOI
Highly efficient few-mode spatial beam self-cleaning at 1.5µm
Y. Leventoux,A. Parriaux,Oleg Sidelnikov,G. Granger,Mathieu Jossent,L. Lavoute,D. Gaponov,Marc Fabert,Alessandro Tonello,Katarzyna Krupa,Agnès Desfarges-Berthelemot,Vincent Kermène,Guy Millot,Sébastien Février,Stefan Wabnitz,Vincent Couderc +15 more
TL;DR: It is experimentally demonstrated that spatial beam self-cleaning can be highly efficient when obtained with a few-mode excitation in graded-index multimode optical fibers, and a one-decade reduction of the power threshold is demonstrated.
