Treatment Modalities for Graves’ Ophthalmopathy: Systematic Review and Metaanalysis

TL;DR: Current evidence demonstrates the efficacy of iv corticosteroids in decreasing CAS in patients with moderate to severe Graves' ophthalmopathy, and intravenous pulse cortiosteroids therapy has a small but statistically significant advantage oral therapy and causes significantly fewer adverse events.
Journal ArticleDOI

Does time equal vision in the acute treatment of a cohort of AQP4 and MOG optic neuritis

TL;DR: This study provides Class IV evidence that hyperacute treatment of AQP4 and MOG-ON with IVMP increases the chance for good visual recovery (20/20 vision) and that even a greater than 7-day delay in treatment is associated with a higher risk for poor visual recovery.
Journal ArticleDOI

Presentation, natural history, and management of carotid cavernous aneurysms.

TL;DR: Endovascular treatment of carotid cavernous aneurysms leads to a significantly higher rate of pain resolution compared with untreated patients, even after adjusting for initial pain severity, and diplopia may not resolve after treatment.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cavernous sinus dural arteriovenous malformations: Patterns of venous drainage are related to clinical signs and symptoms

TL;DR: Evidence is provided that venous congestion and drainage patterns are responsible for the manifestations of cavernous sinus area dural arteriovenous malformations (CSdAVMs) and the clinical features found in patients with CSdVAMs can be predicted by these venous drainage patterns.
