Journal ArticleDOI
Regulation Between HSF1 Isoforms and HSPs Contributes to the Variation in Thermal Tolerance Between Two Oyster Congeners.
TL;DR: It is argued that this gene is regulated based on the different expression levels between the two subspecies’ responses to heat shock, providing valuable information on the thermal tolerance mechanism in these commercially important oyster species.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fosmid library construction and end sequences analysis of the Pacific oyster, Crassostrea gigas
TL;DR: A comprehensive sequence resource for the Pacific oyster was created, including annotated transposable elements, tandem repeats, protein coding sequences and microsatellites, and dinucleotide repeats were found to occur most abundantly, with AG and AAT being the most abundant repeat class of dinucleotide and trinucleotides.
Journal ArticleDOI
Near-infrared spectroscopy method for rapid proximate quantitative analysis of nutrient composition in Pacific oyster Crassostrea gigas
Journal ArticleDOI
The development of a 30 K SNP genotyping tool targeting genomic regions of temperature and salinity adaptation in estuarine oyster
Kai Zhang,Ao Li,Haigang Qi,Qi Bin Yang,Mingyang Du,Xuegang Wang,Ziyan Zhang,Chaogang Wang,Wei Wang,Guofan Zhang,Li Li +10 more
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper developed a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) targeted genotyping tool for C. ariakensis, which includes 30 K SNPs located in previously identified target regions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cis- and Trans-variations of Stearoyl-CoA Desaturase Provide New Insights into the Mechanisms of Diverged Pattern of Phenotypic Plasticity for Temperature Adaptation in Two Congeneric Oyster Species
TL;DR: In this paper , the temperature-responsive trait oleic acid content and its major gene stearoyl-CoA desaturase (Scd) expression have diverged in two allopatric congeneric oyster species.
